Budgam, Jun 16 (KNO): In a significant step towards strengthening healthcare facilities, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Chadoora, Ali Mohammad Dar, on Monday inaugurated a state-of-the-art dialysis centre at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chadoora Budgam.
As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the newly established centre, developed at approximately cost of Rs 45 lakh, will offer free-of-cost dialysis services to patients from Chadoora and adjoining areas.
The facility will remain operational six days a week, excluding Sundays, and is expected to greatly ease the hardships faced by patients who previously had to travel to Srinagar or Budgam for dialysis treatment.
Talking to media persons, MLA Ali Mohammad Dar said the centre will serve as a major health support for the area’s large population, helping save both time and money for underprivileged patients in need of regular dialysis.
Local resident Shahnawaz Ahmad expressed gratitude to the administration and the MLA for their efforts. “This was a long-pending demand of the people. We thank the authorities and especially MLA Ali Mohammad Dar for fulfilling this crucial need and bringing such a vital facility to our doorstep,” he said.
MLA Dar was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Gulzar, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. Hashmat, and several other senior health department officials who appreciated the initiative and its potential to serve thousands in need of critical kidney care—(KNO)
